David McCauley
David McCauley is a Senior Associate who for many years has been a “go to” legal advisor for a large suite of the firm’s clients, playing a leading, strategic role in some of the Group’s highest-profile mandates.
David has extensive recent experience dealing with senior executive and board disputes and has been the key legal advisor in a complex and highly-valuable equal pay case taken by a senior executive in the past year.
Along with these notable mandates, David is a skilled negotiator and has successfully and independently achieved resolutions in contentious termination disputes involving high-earning executives.
He has established a broad practice with frequent advice on matters relating to protected disclosures and is a thought leader in this space, having recently authored an opinion piece in a leading broadsheet, the Business Post.

He also advises on the employment aspects of a significant acquisitions, transfer of undertakings and industrial relations matters.
A trusted advisor for a number of key clients of the McCann FitzGerald’s Employment Group, David is well-known in the industry as a regular speaker on emerging topics including pay transparency and is a longstanding committee member of the Employment Law Association of Ireland.
