David O'Brien
David has extensive experience in advising upon, and litigating, complex and high value commercial disputes. He regularly appears in matters relating to construction law, procurement law, planning and environmental law, administrative law and judicial review. David also has wide ranging experience in alternative dispute resolution including arbitration, conciliation and mediation.
David has appeared before the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal in some of the leading Irish constitutional and administrative law cases of the last decade.
David has acted in groundbreaking construction law cases in Ireland, including Ireland’s first case involving an application to enforce an adjudicator’s award made pursuant to the Construction Contracts 2013. Separately, David appeared as sole counsel for the respondent in the very first case in which an application to enforce a statutory adjudication award made pursuant to the Construction Contracts Act 2013 was successfully defended.
David is also called to the Bar of Northern Ireland.
