Sam De Silva

Dr Sam De Silva is a Partner in the London office of CMS. Sam specialises in complex and strategic IT and telecommunication projects including all forms of cloud computing (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS), outsourcing (IT, BPO and off-shoring), system development and supply, system integration, software licensing, support and service agreements. Sam also regularly advises on data protection (including the GDPR), privacy and cyber-security issues.

Sam is named in Who's Who of Data Privacy and Protection 2018, the Who's Who of Data Security 2018 and the Who's Who of Information Technology 2018 as one of the world's leading lawyers in those areas of law. In addition Sam has been listed in Who's Who Legal: Thought Leaders - Global Elite 2019. As well as being a qualified English law solicitor, Dr De Silva is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia.
