I8.364 Compulsory acquisition

The open market value of land will take into account the effect of any planning orders in force and any compulsory acquisition impending at the date of valuation. If at the date of valuation an enforceable contract of sale has been entered into, or a notice to treat has been served and a price has been fixed, the compensation moneys, not the land, should be included in the estate.
