I8.225 Foreign stocks and shares

Unless there is a dual register, HMRC will take the price of any foreign stocks and shares quoted in The Stock Exchange Daily Official List in preference to a foreign quotation1. The 'quarter-up'2 of the quotation is normally used, but the mid price between the highest and lowest bargains recorded on the day will be accepted. Where there is no quotation in the UK, the prices quoted on an appropriate local foreign stock exchange should be used. According to the type of stock exchange dealings, the price to be adopted is:
