I7.366 Long leases and APR

Agricultural tenancies regulated and given security of tenure by the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 arise only where the whole of the land, subject only to any exceptions which do not substantially affect the character of the tenancy, is let for use as agricultural land1.

Where a lease covers the use of land which is partly, but not substantially, agricultural it might well be outside the terms of the statutory provisions.
