I5.733 Exempt bodies and purchased reversionary interests

Where any interest in settled property is or has been acquired by an exempt body for a consideration in money or money's worth, other than from another exempt body within IHTA 1984, ss 23–251, there is no exemption from charge when any property comprised in that settlement becomes, at the same time or subsequently, the property of the same or any other exempt body2.

This exclusionary provision has a similar effect to the provision excluding the spouse or civil partner exemption described in I5.732 and is
