I4.316 Loss on sale of land — sales to beneficiaries and exchanges

An addition to the sale price is made where a person who makes a claim for loss relief (see I4.312) under these provisions, acting in the same capacity as that in which he made the claim, sells an interest in land within three years of the death by a sale in respect of which no substitution is made because the sale is made to a beneficiary or their spouse or descendant1, and the sale price exceeds the value on death.
