D8.334 Qualifying investments—requirement as to maximum amount raised annually

FA 2007 introduced1 a limit to the amount of capital that an investee company can raise under all of the risk capital schemes (corporate venturing scheme, venture capital trust and enterprise investment scheme) in any 12-month period. For shares issued on or after 19 July 20072, the total amount of relevant investments made in the issuing company in the year ending on the date the relevant shares are issued must not exceed £2m3. A 'relevant investment' is made in a company if4:

  1.  

    (a)     an investment of any kind in the company
