D7.5142 Capital allowances on let plant

The rules in this division apply for accounting periods beginning before 1 January 2013. For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013 see Division D7.4.

Capital allowances in relation to land are given as a deduction in a company's property business computation. If unusually a life insurer lets out investment assets otherwise than in the course of a property business, those assets will be deemed to be used in 'special leasing' activities1.
