D7.5136 Capital redemption business ('CRB')

The rules in this division apply for accounting periods beginning before 1 January 2013. For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013 see Division D7.4.

CRB has declined in importance and is now much less common that once was the case. It is defined as the carrying out of the contracts of insurance on the basis of actuarial calculations under which a sum or series of sums becomes payable at a future date in return for a fixed payment in the present1.
