D7.420 Capital redemption business ('CRB')

The rules in this division apply for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013. For accounting periods beginning before 1 January 2013 see Division D7.5.

CRB has declined in importance and is now much less common that once was the case. It is typically restricted to for example sinking funds for leasehold redemption and annuities certain under which the annuity is paid for a fixed period regardless of whether the annuitant dies during that period.
