D7.415 ISA business ('ISAB')

The rules in this division apply for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013. For accounting periods beginning before 1 January 2013 see Division D7.5.

The individual savings account (ISA) regime introduced in 1997 allows investors to hold an insurance element as well as cash and equities1. An insurance company's ISAB will be so much of its life assurance business as is referable to individual savings account policies within the meaning of regulations laid under ITTOIA 2005, s 6952.
