The interim regime

D7.1302 The corporation tax charge

Under the interim regime1, securitisation companies are taxed as if their accounts were prepared under UK GAAP as it stood on 31 December 2004. This regime applied initially for periods of account beginning on or after 1 January 2005, and ending before 1 January 2008. Regulations have however extended the end date to 1 January 20172 and then further to 1 January 20373.

Companies can however make an irrevocable opt out from the interim regime, and will therefore fall within the permanent regime (D7.1304) onwards.
