D7.1027 Tonnage tax—partnerships

Where a partner in a partnership is a tonnage tax company, partnership profits are calculated on a tonnage tax basis for the purposes of determining that company's share, but on a normal basis for the other partners1.

Activities carried on by a company in partnership are not qualifying activities unless the partnership is a qualifying partnership, which broadly means that the partnership would be a qualifying company if it were a company2.
