D2.219A Group relief surrenders—other types of current year losses

Current year qualifying charitable donations for an accounting period have to be aggregated with current year UK property business losses, qualifying expenditure on grassroots sport (from 1 April 2017), management expenses and non-trading losses on intangible fixed assets for the period1. Only the excess of the aggregate over the company's profit related threshold (ie gross profits plus CFC apportioned profits) can be surrendered, see D2.2152.
