D1.901 UK resident companies' chargeable gains

A UK resident company's chargeable gains are generally charged to corporation tax1. However, gains realised on the disposal before 6 April 2019 of high value (ie in excess of £500,000 (£1m before 1 April 2016, £2m before 1 April 2015); see B6.701))2 residential properties that fall within the annual tax on enveloped dwellings (ATED) regime (see Division B6.7) are charged to capital gains tax3 (C2.1125–C2.1129A).
