C2.112 Spouses and civil partners

A married man and his wife are connected persons for capital gains tax purposes1 and from 5 December 2005, civil partners are connected persons and consequently a disposal of assets from one to the other would otherwise be deemed to be for a consideration equal to market value at the date of the disposal2.
