C1.314 Settled property

In addition to any actual disposals of assets made by trustees in the course of administering settled property, they are deemed to dispose of and immediately reacquire assets at their market value in the following circumstances:

  1.  

    •     where a person becomes absolutely entitled to assets as against the trustees, or would be so entitled but for being a minor or under disability1

  2.  

    •     on the termination of an interest in possession in settled property by reason of the death of the person so entitled (although no chargeable gain arises in these circumstances)2
