Capital allowances of mineral extraction trades

B3.401 Introduction

Capital allowances are due to a person who carries on a mineral extraction trade and incurs qualifying expenditure1. The current code of allowances applies to expenditure incurred after 31 March 1986, and any unrelieved expenditure incurred before that date is eligible for allowances under the current code from that date2.
