9.2 Labour laws
Employment law in Nigeria the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) jurisdiction over matters relating to, or connected with, unfair labour practices or international best labour practice, employment and industrial relations, and Nigeria's international conventions, treaties and protocols relating to labour, employment, the workplace, industrial relations and related matters.
The employer must provide an employee with a written employment contract within three months of them commencing work. The contract must contain:
• the name of the employer, or of the employing group
• the worker's name, address, position and the engagement date
• the nature
