5.2 Employee registration
Individuals living and working in Mexico must complete registrations. Some of these require presentation of a valid visa (see 9.4).

(unique population registration code)
|This is issued at birth to Mexican citizens, and by application to temporary or permanent resident card holders. It is needed for many identification procedures including a driver's license. The validity of an existing CURP can be checked, but a new CURP for a newcomer is obtained by application to the local civil registry office. A list|
