3.3     Convalescence days benefit

Employees who have worked at least one full year are entitled to a salary addition called dmei havraa (convalescence pay). This payment is based on the employee's seniority with the employer.

The payment is intended to pay for an employee's vacation and convalescence expenses. However, the employee is not obliged to use it for that purpose.

Convalescence pay is currently calculated at NIS 378 per day multiplied by the number of days according to the seniority accrued, which are:


    •     five days per year for the first year of work once eligible
