1.2     How are filings done?

Across India, all payroll-related filings are furnished online along with the payment of applicable taxes and dues. As multiple statutes are involved, there is no consolidated filing software issued by the Government for all the statutory filing.

After the mandatory statutory registrations referred to in table 1 (see 5.1) are obtained, the employer is allotted login credentials by the jurisdictional Government officer for each of the registrations obtained and the employer must create the user account to remit the taxes or dues and file the prescribed returns.
