5.2     Employee registration

Employee's basic information is normally registered under their current employer in the public websites/system mentioned in 5.1.

After the employee leaves employment, the ex-employer should cooperate to transfer the ex-employee's social security and housing fund account to their new employer, within 15 days.

Under the tax filing system, the employee will be de-registered and transferred out to the new employer. The new employer should perform the registration for their new employee before the filing deadline of reporting the PRC IIT of the first-month salary income.
