Electronic registration of sales revenues (ERS)

Businesses are required to report sales revenues online in real time to the tax authorities. Electronic registration of sales revenues (ERS) predominately relates to cash sales, meal vouchers, gift cards and other similar types of payments. It is not necessary to record bank transfers, payments made by debit or credit card or receivable set-offs in real time.

ERS is being gradually introduced in the Czech Republic. In 2016, restaurants and hotel services were within scope. In 2017, wholesalers and retailers were included. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the obligation to report under ERS is postponed
