V5.216 Senior Accounting Officer—penalties for non-compliance

A company may incur a penalty of £5,000 for failing to notify HMRC of its Senior Accounting Officer1.

A Senior Accounting Officer may incur a penalty of £5,000 for2:

  1.  

    •     failing to monitor accounting arrangements, or identify any deficiencies

  2.  

    •     failing to provide a certificate, or providing such a certificate which contains a careless or deliberate inaccuracy
