That traceability proved valuable in a matter concerning the sale of a company and who should benefit from the proceeds. To address the questions, Birch’s team put the information into Protégé to get an answer, then checked the underlying authority. She elaborates on this process:

“The guardrails and checks that we apply for the use of Protégé are around keeping that human in the loop. We like to use Protégé as if it's a trainee. So how would you ask a trainee, and then how would you check their work afterwards instead of just taking it as right first time?”

“It will take the jargon out, put it in a way that the client can understand, and get the key points across - therefore reducing the time that the client has to come back and phone them.”
