LexisNexis Streamline®, Unveils 'VISION' Awards for customers
London, 19 October, 2009 - The LexisNexis Practice & Productivity Management User Conference 2009, held on 8th October 2009 at the BMA House on Tavistock Square in Central London, was a resounding success.
A packed full-day event, it offered a combination of over 25 informative presentations and interactive sessions on pressing business issues in the legal, corporate and public sectors, customer case studies, existing product roadmaps, and new product offerings. The company announced the launch of LexisNexis Streamline, its next generation business process management solution and the only single platform on the market today that allows law firms to create a truly 'agile, connected enterprise'.
LexisNexis also unveiled its first ever 'VISION' Awards for customers to acknowledge their partnership with the company and recognise their innovative use of technology to spearhead ground breaking changes in the way they conduct their business. The 2009 winners include DWF LLP, ranked amongst the top 60 UK law firms; Mishcon de Reya Solicitors, one of the UK's most prestigious law firms operating in the media sector; and Weightmans Solicitors, another top 60 UK law firm with a reputation in the insurance and public sectors.
The Conference was attended by over 150 people including customers, industry consultants and technology partners. The keynote address titled 'Preparing for the Economic Recovery' was delivered by Anthony Holmes, an international corporate turnaround specialist and transitional leadership expert. Breaking down the recession into four phases, he articulated how a different managerial approach was required for each phase, why the most difficult phase of the recession is yet to come, and how firms should approach it to emerge as healthy survivors.
Tim Cheadle, General Manager, LexisNexis Practice & Productivity Management, said, "We are very encouraged by the success of this Conference. It provided a forum for sharing experiences, open debate and constructive discussion on how best to deal with today's industry challenges. We are delighted to be working with some of the most forward looking organisations in the UK. We are proud to be part of their endeavours and are driven by our goal to deliver products that will help them improve efficiencies, reducing costs and risk. We want no customer to be left behind."
"The VISION Awards are a mark of our appreciation and value that we place on our customer relationships. It is the strength of these partnerships that helps us stretch the boundaries of our solutions so that we consistently deliver tailored and innovative solutions to meet their business requirements", Cheadle added.
Other key external speakers included Neil Cameron, Managing Director of Neil Cameron Consulting Group, who led a discussion on 'Applying Process Discipline to the Practice of Law and Delivery of Legal Services'; Donna Payne, CEO PayneGroup, examined the issues around desktop security and the management of meta data within law firms; and Allan Carton, Director, and Andrew Simmans, Technology Solutions Consultant, InPractice UK Limited, insightfully talked about how to keep ROI measurements of IT Projects believable, manageable and meaningful.
