Winners of Halsbury Legal Awards 2016 Announced

Awards celebrate exceptional contributions to legal profession

LONDON, 4 October 2016 – Finalists, sponsors and guests enjoyed a sparkling awards event at this year’s Halsbury Legal Awards presentation at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.

The awards, which are designed to celebrate the contributions and achievements of remarkable people across the legal profession, were presented across 10 categories including: Chambers of the Year; Law Firm of the Year; Law in the Community/Pro Bono; Innovation; Diversity & Inclusion.

Special awards were also presented to Lord Lester for Lifetime Contribution, to Hillsborough lawyers Marcia Willis Stewart and Elkan Abrahamson for their remarkable contribution to the Rule of Law, and to Professor William Twining for Academic Contribution.

The 2016 charity partner was the International Law Book Facility (ILBF)

ILBF patron, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, the Lord Chief Justice spoke about the charity’s history, achievements and ambitions.
