LexisNexis Announces Agreement with Clarkson, Wright & Jakes for LexisPSL
Leading south-east law firm takes LexisPSL practical law service.
LONDON, 23 August 2012 – LexisNexis UK (www.lexisnexis.co.uk), a leading provider of content and technology solutions, today announced that leading south-east law firm Clarkson, Wright & Jakes (CWJ) has signed an agreement with LexisNexis that provides the firm with the full suite of LexisNexis services. The suite is built around Lexis®PSL, the practical law service developed by LexisNexis, as well as Lexis®Library and document automation tools from Lexis®Smart.
LexisPSL combines the practice notes, time-saving tools, forms, precedents and checklists required for contemporary legal practice, with direct links through to the primary law and the industry standard titles for which LexisNexis is well known. Practitioners can instantly navigate from the “what” and “how” of the law to the “why”, with links directly to case law and legislation as well as materials from key texts including Halsbury’s, Butterworth’s and Tolley, and specialist legal magazines and journals.
Andrew Wright, CWJ Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to become a customer of LexisPSL. LexisPSL gives us the competitive advantage we need in the legal market place. We looked closely at the various alternative providers of legal knowhow and chose LexisPSL, so now we meet our entire legal information needs exclusively in partnership with LexisNexis: it increases our productivity which leads to greater profitability. We are constantly seeking ways to exploit current technology to improve the service we offer our clients. LexisPSL means we can deliver added value to our customers.”
The service provides a layered approach of short, easy-to-read documents with clearly signposted, seamless links through to the underlying authority and materials. LexisPSL gives users the ability to delve as far into a topic as they need to go without having to look elsewhere for a complete answer. This is further complemented by productivity applications such as LexisSmart drafting tools, fillable government forms and damages calculators.
Nick West, LexisNexis UK Director of Legal Markets, said: “CWJ have looked at the needs of their clients and responded. LexisPSL, combined with LexisLibrary, the markets leading legal library, and the document automation tools in LexisSmart, is an unbeatable combination. I have no doubt that this will deliver what CWJ needs in order to deliver a superb service to their clients.”
