New Law Journal Wins the BIALL Legal Journals Award 2011

LexisNexis title recognised as the leading law publication in the UK by legal information professionals

LONDON, 20 June, 2011 – LexisNexis UK (, a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, today announced that New Law Journal (NLJ) has been awarded the Legal Journals Award 2011 by the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL).


Caralyn Duignan, Regional Academic Account Manager, LexisNexis, accepted the award on behalf of NLJ editor Jan Miller from BIALL President David Wills at the Association’s annual dinner at the Gateshead Newcastle Hilton on Friday, 17 June 2011.

The Legal Journals Award was established in 2001 by BIALL's Legal Information Group to recognize and reward excellence in legal serials publishing, promote awareness of outstanding products, encourage quality and set industry standards.  A total of 14 legal publications were nominated for this year’s award.

Reflecting the thoughts and deliberations of the judging panel for this award, BIALL Council Member Loyita Worley, Senior Manager, Library Operations, Reed Smith LLP said: “New Law Journal is a popular and highly esteemed title within the legal profession and covers all areas of law. Its well-written, informed content is up-to-date, topical and clearly presented. In addition, it is accompanied by a website that is easily searchable, providing added content.”
