Asbestos in buildings
As soon as reasonably practicable after the Completion Date the Seller and the Buyer must jointly instruct a UKAS accredited or ABICS certified asbestos surveyor to:
undertake an asbestos management survey at the Property (which will also form an asbestos register) to assess what asbestos remedial work if any is required to make the Property compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, SI 2012/632; and
prepare an asbestos management plan for the Property.
The Seller agrees to reimburse the Buyer [(subject to a maximum sum of [insert number])] for the costs and expenses relating to the asbestos survey/register, asbestos management plan and any asbestos remedial work recommended by the survey (Asbestos Works) within 14 days of the Buyer providing a relevant invoice to the Seller indicating that the Asbestos Works have been completed.
