    Notification of sickness absence

    1. 1.1

      In the event of absence on account of sickness or injury, you [or someone on your behalf] must inform [enter details, eg your supervisor] by telephone of the reason for and expected duration of your absence:

      1. 1.1.1

        before [enter time, eg 10 am] on the first working day on your absence or, where it is not[ reasonably] practicable to notify by that time, as soon as practicable afterwards;

        before [enter time, eg 10 am] on each subsequent working day of absence until your absence is covered by a medical certificate (now known as a ‘fit note’);
