Corporate Crime analysis: Revised Police And Criminal Evidence Act 1984 Codes of Practice (PACE Codes) C, D and H came into force on 23 February 2017. The PACE Codes have been amended with a view to (among other things) providing for an alternative definition of juvenile, establish a procedure to remove appropriate adults from an interview, the introduction of arrangements for an interpreter using live-link, the reinforcement of the rights of people voluntarily interviewed, the use of digital record book, as well as placing greater emphasis on mandatory duty to have regard to Equality Act 2010 (EqA 2010) and to update procedures for obtaining eye-witness identification evidence and the provisions for taking and retaining fingerprints and DNA.
