MLex: UK General Insurance has been reported to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) by consumer-rights organisation Which? for its ‘dubious tactics’ in denying policy claims for wedding cancellations amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. A Subject Access Request email showed the insurer admitted guidance given to customers was ‘contradictory to say the least’, with Which? arguing the firm is exploiting unclear terms and conditions to avoid payouts.
