Law360, New York: In a judgment dated 14 August 2017, providing reasons for a decision given on 14 July 2017, the Singapore High Court rejected an appeal by ADM Asia-Pacific Trading (ADM) against a decision of the assistant registrar rejecting its challenge to a US $1.4 million arbitral award issued to Quanzhou Sanhong Trading in a dispute over a corn sales contract. In rejecting the challenge, the court found that the arbitral tribunal had not exceeded its jurisdiction. According to the judgment, ADM has appealed the High Court’s decision.
