Dispute Resolution analysis: the court allowed an appeal against an order which had set aside an order for an extension of time for service of the claim form. The case shows the difficulties practitioners face when seeking to serve claim forms out of the jurisdiction, especially in jurisdictions in which there is only one way in which service can be effected. The issue for practitioners will be whether the, perhaps more lenient, approach towards the claimant was due to the particular circumstances in the case or whether the courts will be more open to the obvious difficulties claimants encounter in some jurisdictions to serve the claim form within the six months provided for in Part 7.
