The Secretary of State for the new, revamped Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), formerly known as BIS, has announced the ministers for the different areas of responsibility within the department. The Minister for Small Business, Consumers, and Corporate Responsibility, Margot James MP, is responsible for labour markets including trade union and employment law. Responsibility for apprenticeships has moved to the Department for Education.
