A consultation paper on revised guidance for employment tribunals on the assessment of pension loss has been issued by the President of the Employment Tribunals (England & Wales), His Honour Judge Brian Doyle. It recommends the abandonment of the approach of the 2003 guidance and the issuing of Presidential Guidance describing a new approach to calculating pension loss that would adopt two different methods, depending on whether the case in question is simple or complex.
