Dispute Resolution analysis: Mrs Justice Elisabeth Laing DBE in the Queen’s Bench Division has dismissed four applications to: strike out the claimant’s claim post-judgment in default of defence and following a subsequent assessment of damages; set aside a world-wide freeing order binding the defendant; set aside the claimant’s application to commit the defendant for contempt of court; and, to order the defendant to pay the claimant security for the costs of the defendant’s strike out application.
