The elements of the Job Support Scheme that will assist employees who are working reduced hours due to coronavirus have been made more generous and broader in their coverage, the level of grants under the extension to the SEISS have been doubled, and new business grants have been announced for severely impacted (but still open) businesses in Tier 2 areas, under new measures announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 22 October 2020.
