A new form which individuals can use to request that an employer is fined for failing to pay an employment tribunal award or an Acas conciliated settlement (known as a COT3) has been published by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). The form follows the introduction of new provisions, on 6 April 2016, which allow enforcement officers authorised by the Secretary of State to issue a financial penalty notice against an employer who fails to meet its obligation to pay these sums.
