A round-up of EU competition law developments, including (amongst other things): (i) a judgment from the General Court dismissing an appeal against compensation granted to a State-owned postal operator in Czech Republic, (ii) an opinion from AG Kokott recommending that the Court of Justice dismiss the Commission’s appeals in relation to Polish tax in the retail sector and a Hungarian advertisement tax, and (iii) an opinion from AG Pitruzzella recommending that the Court of Justice annul the General Court’s judgment which upheld Barcelona’s appeal against the Commission’s decision that tax privileges to Spanish clubs breached State aid rules.
