MLex: EU energy integration plans are likely to require reams of new regulation that will affect energy companies, vehicle makers, refiners, heavy industries and more. The green drive may at times supersede the other two traditional pillars of EU energy policy: competitiveness and security. The coming year is likely to bring a flurry of legislative negotiations as the European Commission puts more detailed proposals to governments and lawmakers.
