Law360, New York: A Hong Kong justice has dismissed a Chinese paper conglomerate’s attempt to bar its former joint venture partner from seeking its forced liquidation in Hong Kong to pay a 168m renminbi (RMB) (US $24.7m) arbitration award, finding the Chinese company's attempts to avoid payment showed an ‘unacceptable’ disregard for the territory’s legal system.
