Law360: Stans Energy Corp has been awarded US$24m in arbitration against the Kyrgyz Republic after the country terminated licences to mine rare earth minerals held by a Stans affiliate, a figure well short of the US$210m the company had been seeking. The arbitration was seated in London (by agreement of the parties), conducted under the arbitration rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).
