Arbitration analysis: Mr Justice Bryan in the Commercial Court granted an anti-suit injunction restraining the defendants in respect of Lebanon court proceedings commenced in breach of an arbitration agreement between the parties. The decision is of interest due to the court’s approach to, and final decision on, the interpretation of the dispute resolution clause binding on the parties, which provided for London-seated arbitration in the event that there was ‘no reciprocal enforcement procedures’ between the UK and, in this case, Lebanon.
