Arbitration analysis: Mr Justice Andrew Baker granted a final anti-suit injunction in respect of court proceedings commenced and continued by the defendant in Saudi Arabia in order to give effect to an arbitration agreement and its consequences, including a London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) arbitration award in which the tribunal granted declaratory relief as to the conclusion of certain contracts. No strong reason was advanced by the defendant to the court’s satisfaction such that the relief sought should not be granted.
