- What are the changes to the CPR?
Dispute Resolution analysis: The Ministry of Justice has published the 88th Update–Practice Direction Amendments Making Document and this, together with The Civil Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2017, SI 2017/95 and The Civil Proceedings Fees (Amendment) Order 2016, SI 2016/1191, makes changes to the CPR. The changes come into force at different times. The changes include amendments to trial fees, costs and case management, Aarhus Convention claims, use of legal advisers in the County Court, closure of certain County Court hearing centres, electronic working, bundles in judicial review proceedings, landlord and tenant claims, admiralty claims, fixed costs in road traffic claims, references to the European Court and appeals in respect of IP claims.
